Made of .080” aluminum, BEST’s traffic signs feature screen printed copy on engineer grade reflective vinyl sheeting.

Utilizing international symbols, our inventory is designed to provide very durable exterior signs to fulfill standard and special needs.

Standard sizes 12” x 18” and 18” x 24” or as shown above. Please specify design number and size.

Standard screen printed colors are as shown. Please specify any color changes from standard.

* For signs with arrows, also specify left, right, double arrow or no arrow at all.

U channel posts are available for installation, either galvanized or green painted, 8’ or 10’. Weight is 2 lbs. per foot.

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.01 SUMMARY

A. This section includes the following:

Products supplied in this section are to be installed by others.

1.02 SUBMITTALS

A. Manufacturer's Data: Submit manufacturer's descriptive literature and specifications, including color samples of material for selection, as applicable for approval.

B. Submit shop drawings listing sign styles, lettering and locations, and overall dimensions of each sign.

C. Manufacturers must submit 3 references showing comparable products for projects completed within the last 5 years.

D. Submit manufacturer's standard warranty information.

PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.01 MANUFACTURER

2.02 MANUFACTURED UNITS

A. Sign material shall consist of 18 gauge bonderized steel [or .063" aluminum (.080" aluminum for stop, yield & do not enter signs)]. Signs shall have white baked enamel surface and screen print copy, symbols and border. Corners shall have 1.5" radius.

B. Standard sizes shall be [specify 12" x 18" or 18" x 24"].

C. "Stop" sign sizes shall be [specify 24" x 24" or 30" x 30"].

D. "Yield" sign sizes shall be [specify 30" x 26.3 " or 36" x 31.6"].

E. "Do Not Enter" sign sizes shall be [specify 24" x 24" or 30" x 30"].

F. "$50 - $200 Fine Without Vehicle Permit" [specify amount of fine] sign sizes shall be 12" x 9".

G. "Permit Required", "Van Accessible", "$50 [specify amount of fine] Fine" sign sizes shall be 12" x 6".

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.01 INSTALLATION

A. General: Locate sign units and accessories where indicated, using mounting methods of the type described and in compliance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Install sign level, plumb, and at height indicated.

B. Mount using methods indicated below [specify method below].
U-Channel posts in [specify galvanized or green painted steel] [specify 8'-0" or 10'-0" length] using standard mounting hardware of galvanized steel carriage bolts.
